Clemente played his entire career with the Pirates, appearing in 15 All-Star Games, winning four Gold Gloves, four batting titles, the NL MVP in 1966 as well as two World Series. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1973 and the team retired his jersey on April 6, 1973, a few months after he died in a plane accident
